Stephen King's Misery

Adapted by William Goldman from the novel by Stephen King, our production of Misery, directed by Hayden Davis, opens October 10th.

Paul Sheldon has enjoyed a successful career as a novelist, though he has grown weary of his most popular creation, Misery Chastain. Seeking a change, he writes a new novel, "Fast Cars," which is vastly different from his usual work. After a car accident leaves him incapacitated, he is rescued by his "number one fan," Annie Wilkes. As she nurses him back to health, Paul gradually realizes how deranged Annie is, and becomes her unwilling captive.
